All in this together: The CKM connection
The American Kidney Fund's (AKF) Kidney Health Coach® (KHC) program has expanded to include a cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome online course, in collaboration with the American Heart Association (AHA), further strengthening AKF's educational offerings to the community. CKM is the connection between obesity, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, and heart disease. The CKM course equips coaches with the information to raise awareness about CKM syndrome and empower their community with ways to prevent and manage it.
For successful completion, coaches are required to complete all components of the online course, which includes the pre-evaluation, quiz, and post-evaluation. After successful completion, coaches will be able to claim continuing education credit (if offered for your profession) and obtain a certificate of completion. Please note that participants can enroll and complete this online course only once, in either English or Spanish. Duplicate course completions are not allowed.
This course was made possible through support of Bayer.
NOTE: To enroll in the CKM online course, participants must first complete the main Kidney Health Coach online course. If you have not yet taken the Kidney Health Coach online course to become a coach, you may access the course below in either English or Spanish.
Once you complete the main Kidney Health Coach course, you will be able to access the CKM course.
